Capture Note keeps your work on your Mac. You decide what leaves it.

Captures and notes

Screenshots, annotations, text, and saved recordings are stored in editable note files on your Mac. Capture Note doesn’t upload them to a Capture Note server.

Voice

Voice transcription uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition. A language model download may be needed. Saved audio stays with the note. Microphone access is requested when you choose to record.

Sharing and agents

Paste prepares annotated images and a request document locally, then opens your chosen ChatGPT or Claude app and pastes them. It never presses Send. The receiving app may upload or process pasted attachments under its own privacy policy. Choose Clipboard in Settings to copy without opening another app.

iCloud

Sync is optional. When you choose to sync a note, Capture Note writes a review copy and editable archive to your selected iCloud Drive folder. Apple handles the transfer between your devices.

This website

There are no advertising or analytics scripts. Your color-mode choice is stored in your browser. Cloudflare hosts this site and processes standard web requests to serve its pages and downloads.
